For a long time that I have stayed in Delhi, I have struggled to find good spots around it to spend weekend. Not because I don’t like this city, but because travelling is in my blood. I have long desired to see new places and experience the diversity of Indian culture up close and personal. Travel gives me the freedom from monotony and opens my mind to new, creative ideas. It was while I was travelling on my way to seek the perfect long weekend getaway from Delhi, I got an idea for a new book. Other time, my mind just got a solution to an issue we were facing with a neighbour. It just happens. The moment I am outside, I feel light.

I have explored the bylanes of Mussoorie, kachhwa Bazar of Kasauli, sand dunes of Jodhpur, rivers of devbhoomi, sugarcane farming lands of UP, cutting of Sarso in Punjab and even the dusty markets of old Delhi, till today have a charm I can’t express in words. But my favourite the perfect long weekend getaway from Delhi has been camping in the mountains. It gives me the peace that I speak with the inner silence that I practice. My time at Offroad Camp has been filled big little magical movements watching serene sunrise, listening morning voices of birds, laying down in the sun with my favourite book and reading some of the best travelling quotes. From my experiences, I have discovered that camping has a positive impact on my entire thought cycle. it’s been long known that camping is a fantastic activity that provides days of enjoyment in the nature, brings us closer to the soil we are born from, and gives us an opportunity to connect with ourselves as well as each other.
